For all those who do judge a book by its cover (and that includes me) and want to talk up favorite covers, cover artists, quirky covers, cover contests, and more. Questions about covers are welcome. It's fine if you wish to point out that you are less than impressed about a cover or a type of cover, too, but be kind in your critique. :)

Very true! I enjoyed that one. It is very tough to gauge the heat level sometimes based on cover, title and blurb. ;)

An interesting topic - I only read fiction electronically these days but the cover is still a big draw as to whether I buy a book or not, especially for a new author. The current vogue seems to be for a women in a regency dress either from the back or minus her head! I shan’t miss this trend when it moves on! For me I prefer a painted image.

Oh, you are definitely talking to the right group but I doubt any here would try to talk you out of it. I'd give up something for the monthly payments. I'd even eat bologna instead of steak for that book. Where are my salts? That is absolutely beautiful. My fingers are itching just to touch it. WOW! What a beauty. Whew!

@Bookish Barton. It’s a lot of money but if your rent, utilities and car payments are made then eat Mac and cheese for a month and enjoy the book. Will you get $236 worth of joy? If you think you will, then buy it. I know people that go to Starbucks every week day, this would be 10 weeks of venti double shot mocha lattes. Just don’t buy it if you can’t face the credit card bill next month. No one needs that angst.
