I'm thinking about jumping in for this one. I've been wanting to read it for a long time. Just such a busy schedule for the next few months...
I’ve not read Maugham either and found a used copy this year. I put this on my bingo so I will plan to join in! This has glowing reviews!
I'm ridiculously excited about this one. :-) I read two other Maugham stories ages ago, and just remember loving them. Can't wait!
I’ve wanted to read more by this author since I read Of Human Bondage so I’m looking forward to this.

Matt, I've read both of these. I rated both of them 5 stars, that said The Razor's Edge is on my top 10 favorite's list.

Now that is a great recommendation to read the book.

The Razor's Edge was my very first Maugham and introduced me to an incredible author which was unknown to me before. I too rated this book 5 stars, totally loved it and plan to read more by him soon!
I’m getting even more excited after all these comments! I ended up buying the ebook and audiobook because my library doesn’t have this online for some reason. They have all his other books.
I read this book two years ago (or so) when it was nominated, but did not win the poll. I gave it five stars. Plus it was made into a quite good black and white movie. That is always fun. I thought it really expressed the spirit of its time.
I'm starting on this tonight. It will be my first from this author. I'm glad to see that it's a favorite for many.
I have read a number of Maugham's short stories, which I have liked, but this will be my first novel. I have also recently read Paul Theroux' The Pillars of Hercules: A Grand Tour of the Mediterranean, wherein he wrote of a number of literary figures that lived (some longer than others) along the Mediterranean shore, From this cast I added Up at the Villa, so that will most probably be my next Maugham read.
