Would have read in the early 2000s. It's a series where a girl (so not the Todd Strasser series) wakes up in the body of her teacher, a friend, etc in each book. Any ideas?

She wakes up in a boy's body in the second book, Virtual Sexual Reality.

This is a reach, but it *might* be Out of Sight, Out of Mind, in which the MC finds herself in the bodies of people she sympathises with. There's then a follow-up series about the other children in her class, who also have superpowers, and she does do some more bodyswapping in those books, but not as a MC since those books are focusing on other characters. Probably not the one but thought I'd suggest it.
