Mount TBR 2022 discussion

While I did read 13 TBR books last year, it's always hard to predict how many I'll get done, since it was 7 the year before that. So I prefer to start off small and work my way up. I have about 16 books total. Up the pile I go!

The Accidental Movie Star Review

The Accidental Movie Star was an okay read, not exactly something I'd recommend due to the MC's decision to take the male lead back at the end and the iffy writing. Too much telling, not enough showing, which really tanked the main couple's chemistry. Fun plot though!

Fun, cute, easy to read in Japanese. Nice reread, probably will continue the reread in English since I own it all in English and only vol. 1 in Japanese.

Takane & Hana, Volume 11 Review

I bought this a while back but never got around to reading it. After a reread of the previous volumes, I jumped into this one. It felt very soap opera-y which I didn't love because it used tropes I felt were unnecessary. I'll continue the series though.

This was really fun! Since I read it in Japanese, it was a bit difficult at times, but overall fairly easy.

Wintersong Review

Beautiful writing, captivating story, good romance, slightly frustrating main character. Overall enjoyed it although it took some energy out of me.

Poignant but funny. Loved the anime. Decent manga. Aomori dialect is hard to understand.
