Thank you, Kathleen. I'm late at getting around to this and still haven't finished updating my 2021 challenges (even though I did the reading)! It was a strange year and I hope this one is better.

Lori Keeton | 1495 comments Ditto Kathleen’s sentiments, Sue! I look forward to reading with you this year! I’m also reading the same books in your women in aviation category. Can’t remember what I called mine.

We should see if we can work out a buddy read for them, Lori. I've been wanting to get to those for awhile and just recently got West with the Night from a library sale. I think I want to start with Circling the Sun first.

So glad to see you have made your lists. You've got some great reads planned. I can relate to hoping for a better year...almost has to be.

Lori Keeton | 1495 comments Sue, a buddy read of those would be great! I would love reading them with you!

Sue K H (sky_bluez) | 3684 comments I haven't updated this one since Jan 4th. Pretty pathetic. It's been a crazy year for me. I wasn't able to post, update or review very much and read a lot less too. I won't be completing the decade challenge and will only have one on the fiction/nonfiction. All the others started will be completed.

Even though I read a lot less this year, I think I've read more 4 and 5 star books that ever. Maybe being able to read less makes you appreciate what you do read all the more?

message 26: by Sue (new)

Sue K H (sky_bluez) | 3684 comments I'm closing this off with the last book read to complete my 7th challenge being the 5 star Forgotten Bookmarks: A Bookseller's Collection of Odd Things Lost Between the Pages.

It was all I could do to read enough to complete my challenges this year. I did very few reviews. I hope to get to some reviews for my five star reads next week but I already feel behind on 2023 reading!

message 27: by Kathleen (new)

Kathleen | 5486 comments 7 challenges in a busy year is a wonderful accomplishment, Sue!! Your last one looks great (I had to add it). Congratulations, and Happy New Year!

It's an amazing book for those of us who enjoy looking at little time capsules that manage to survive unbeknownst to the owner. I hope to do a review for this one but I've been hoping to do many that never get done!

Lynn (lynnsreads) | 5042 comments Congratulations! 7 Challenges is quite a lot. I am always impressed when people finish the Old and New Challenge! Nice job.

I find I enjoy the books more when I don't feel rushed. Maybe that is part of it?
