Welcome to the 2022 Other Worlds Challenge! Looking forward to seeing what everyone reads this year. :) Even if you start the challenge later in the year, anything read during 2022 counts. I'm open to suggestions for other categories that fit this challenge as well!

There are so many fictional worlds out there to discover—alien, fantastical, and even alternate Earths.

The goal for this challenge is to discover these new worlds by reading science fiction, fantasy, and paranormal romances. Here are the rules:

* Books must have a romance in them (but doesn't have to be primary genre).
* Books must be novella or novel length.
* Books can be any format (ebook, physical, or audio).
* Books must fall into one of the six categories below.
* Books can only be listed in one category below.

Actually, I started Ice Planet Barbarians, and within the first chapter or two the rape lost me. In all of the alien romance books I've read there haven't been any rapes, and I just couldn't read any farther. The good news there are a lot of other great alien romance writers out there to choose from :)

Yeah, I can understand that... admittedly I didn't read it that way at the time, but I absolutely can see how it would be. It was a weird way to start the series, and that's thankfully the only time something like that happens throughout.

Lots of great alien romance for sure! Never thought it'd be a genre I'd be into, but once I started reading it I just kept finding more and more. :D

It is really too bad that she decided to put that in there especially only once in the first book. It was just so unnecessary and so graphic. It just hit me wrong, and I have so many other options that don't have anything like that so I'm really behind on all the other options!

I never would have guessed I'd like this type of book but there are so many out there and they are really addictive!

We have 1.5 months left in 2022 (time flies when it's not being wibbly wobbly)! I hope that everyone has had a fantastical, otherworldly reading experience this year.
