A wonderful Valentine and fitting for this category is:Milena Mckay The Perfect Match - a romcom novella
Just finished Rand from IHL's list. However it is 100% NOT magical realism, and I can't make myself type it in that category. Oh well, did really enjoy it and will surely read the next books when they're released. Categories Rand DOES fit better under:- Fantasy
- Slow Burn
- Enemies to Lovers
- Forced Proximity
- Grumpy/Sunshine
I did read a magical realism novella last year - The Chosen and the Beautiful by Nghi Vo.
I was looking through the magical realism topic on several lesbian book sites and there are too few of this genre. It's weird that Milk Fed wasn't mentioned in any of them (it's not even shelved as magical realism on Goodreads). It's one of my favorite books, and the gollum which magically influences the protagonists life definitely classifies it under this criterion. The protag is struggling with eating disorder too so it could come under "mental illness"
