My favorite character is Orpheus, obviously!my favorite song is either Wait For Me or Come Home With Me, though I haven't listened to the whole soundtrack in a while.
it is a really good musical! I wouldn't usually listen to this type of music, so it's impressive that it has become one of my favorites

hadestown is legit one of the best musicals, in my opinion. I’ve see it twice on Broadway, it’s my favorite! After the first time I saw it in 2020 (before the world shut down), I met Reeve Carney afterwards at Shake Shack hahaha.

hahaha shake shack is a burger fast food spot in the us, it’s a chain, so it’s in a lot of cities. he was super nice and awkward, but in a good way ha. he was also on facetime with Eva! they’re both really chill and nice - they had both signed my playbill at the stage door.

Oh. my. gosh!!! that is one of the most amazing things I've ever heard!!! have you met any other actors?
From Hadestown, just those two! back when stagedoor-ing was allowed, they were the only two principle cast members to come out and sign playbills, take pics, etc. But I did meet some of the other ensemble members at stagedoor, but I can’t remember who, I was pretty star stuck with those two hahaha.

I can imagine! I honestly am still processing that... that's amazing!I meant any actors, not only Hadestown, lol
Omg yeah! Thanks to stagedoor-ing ha, can’t wait till they let folks do it again. i’ve met some of the cast from mean girls broadway, moulin rouge, king kong, tina and six through stage door.

Karen Olivio 😭😭😭 she’s my favorite! Robyn also, and i don’t remember who else to be honest ha, i’d have to look back at my playbill to see who signed. This was back in 2020, which feels like foreverrrrr ago.

yessss 😭 karen is the reason i even saw moulin rouge. i don’t like the musical tbh haha, but once i knew she was going to be in the cast, i knew i had to see it for her. i was shocked when she came out because stagedoor isn’t something she would do often. but she was so sweet and nice, she signed my playbill and took a picture with me 😭😭

Samantha White was an Audience member who took out a captioning device (because she has hearing loss) and Lillias White [Hermes] broke character and stopped the show to call out Lillias White (who she thought was recording the show with a phone)

Hadestown is coming near me and I want to see it, however, I listened to the cast recording a year ago and didn't like it very much. Should I re-listen it to it and try to see if I can like it enough to go see it?

I would definitely recommend it. I didn't like Hadestown the first time, either (actually, there are still a couple songs I always skip), but if there's a chance that you may like it, I'd definitely say be safe rather than sorry.
