message 3: by Mary-Therese, America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman: Enjolras! (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 971 comments It is SO good! it makes me feel all the emotions. Sadness, anger, surprise, happiness, and hope.

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are the best theatre songwriters since Roger and Hammerstein

message 8: by Mary-Therese, America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman: Enjolras! (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 971 comments Oh, gosh, I unfortunately don't really know any Evan except for Ben Platt, but he was fantastic! I also really loved Jordan Fisher

message 9: by Alberte (new)

Alberte | 48 comments You should listen to “obvious”, “part of me” and “disappear - acoustic” it’s Taylor and his voice is fantastic. I literally listen to those songs everyday

message 10: by Mary-Therese, America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman: Enjolras! (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 971 comments Oh, I have heard those ones, and he has an awesome voice!

message 11: by Naomi Abiah (new)

Naomi Abiah (naomiabiah) I WATCHED PART OF IT ON AN AEROPLANE TRIP. It was gooooooooood. The vocals were A MAZE INNGGGG

message 12: by Mary-Therese, America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman: Enjolras! (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 971 comments Right?!!

the Original Broadway Cast recording is 10x better! you should
give it a try!

message 13: by Naomi Abiah (new)

Naomi Abiah (naomiabiah) Ooooh I always hear it on the radio XD and I love singing along with it :DDD

message 14: by Luna (new)

Luna (luna13) Sincerely, Me is my favorite song off the soundtrack. Such a bop. Awesome musical but the MC is pretty twisted.

message 15: by Mary-Therese, America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman: Enjolras! (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 971 comments Couldn't have said it better myself.

have you seen the new movie?

legendofthe3divas | 164 comments Ok but Good For You is so underrated

message 17: by Mary-Therese, America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman: Enjolras! (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 971 comments I agree 1000%! it's pretty much my favorite song, especially Will Roland's voice at "crush them and leave them behind," and then Evan's part at the end. PERFECTION! lol

legendofthe3divas | 164 comments And they cut it from the movie THE AUDACITY-

message 19: by Mary-Therese, America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman: Enjolras! (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 971 comments I know! I'm so upset! I haven't Sen the movie yet, and now I almost don't want to, XD

legendofthe3divas | 164 comments They also cut Anybody Have A Map like why did they cut the best songs?!

message 21: by Mary-Therese, America's Favorite Fighting Frenchman: Enjolras! (new)

Mary-Therese P. | 971 comments Those are literally the two best songs!

PLUS, they took out some lyrics from Sincerely, Me, and that makes me mad!

legendofthe3divas | 164 comments DID THEY CUT OUT KINKY?! IF THEY DID IMMA THROW HANDS!!!!

message 23: by E (new)

E (musicean) I'm glad that this thread agrees the movie was atrocious XD

message 24: by Alberte (new)

Alberte | 48 comments Have yall seen that they closed the show on both Broadway and West end. Im so sad, cause I never even got to see it. My mom and I talked about going to London to watch it but then I found out they closed it.

I saw the movie this summer and I actually kinda hated it. Don’t want to sound evil or anything like that but I think Ben was too old for the role. He was great and all in the show but he just looks way too old In the movie. They also cut a lot of the good songs, and I had just read the book when I watched it and they were just so different. Definitely liked the book better than the movie

message 25: by E (new)

E (musicean) 100% agree with you! BP was great on Broadway, but you can get away having older broadway actors on stage, not on movie

The good news is it will probably still run in Off-Broadway productions, so you still have the chance to catch that!
