Male, I think? Young below 18, teen-range most likely.
Okay wow, I found it completely by accident due to the discussion over at https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Where I forgot another book about a half-fairy child (demi-sprite technically) named Tom that discovered they're half magical and half-mortal and there's a hill of gold and three fairy godmothers.
I googled books similar to Magicalamity and the book popped up!
But that's beside the point!
The book was called The Time Travelers" at least over here in the US, but the cover was unmistakable! And it's no wonder I never remembered the title because the US title is so generic and bland!
And it's an anti-gravity machine and scientific that the kids go through time (two of them, female and male) Kate and Peter. Great book from what I can remember! This Trilogy should be added to that Wikipedia about alternate histories or worlds in stories and stuff!
"An accident with an anti-gravity machine catapults twelve-year-olds Peter and Kate into 1763 and what seems like a whole new world. Aside from these twenty-first century children, there are two major characters whose fortunes the novels follow. The first is Gideon, a reformed cutpurse, who does everything he can to help the children return to their own time. The second is the Tar Man, who steals the anti-gravity machine and whose influence in London’s dark underworld makes him the most dangerous of enemies.
The trilogy spans the centuries and explores the grave consequences of time travel, including time quakes, in which parallel universes threaten to burst into one another. Featuring both the French and the American Revolutions, the trilogy also shows what havoc can ensue when eighteen-century villains take a liking for our own century. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!"

I do thank you for your help, I got some details wrong but the group mind of the internet helped, and hopefully if anyone has trouble remembering they can come here, although I recommend writing the book name and/or author down and possibly buying the books!
Awesome, super glad you found it! Gideon the Cutpurse aka The Time Travelers for the trackable links.

I couldn't find the book here but I know I read it between 2010-2018,
Basically, someone figure out how to time-travel (through a watch or science or by accident) and it's up to the kid(s) I think to stop the villain, although later the villain regrets the new world that he made.
