Well you all know I am creeping behind but so enjoying it! Definitely a book to be read and savored at the same time. So glad you really enjoyed it!
The first book in a new trilogy from Atkinson, who in my opinion, is one of the finest historians ever. The man must never sleep-his research is so deep and involved, it just boggles the mind.
This is the story of The American Revolution, not told by just the Americans, but equal time given to the British. Atkinson paints the entire picture and does it beautifully.
Not recommended for anyone that does not enjoy History as a pastime. This was a whopper of a book to get through, even for me! I read it in small doses each day taking over 6 weeks to finish. I am glad I tackled it, worth all the time and effort.
