This is a great book to look on a life anew and make sure priorities are in order through a new lens. I read this book as a younger mother and boy does time fly. Be good to your families everyone! And I hope everything works out.I actually liked The Husband's Secret more and is very different than this one.
I liked The Husband's Secret better also - it was my first novel by Liane Moriarty and I have read every one since then. We even had an ongoing Liane Moriarty Buddy Read for several months in another Goodreads group in which we read one book of hers each month.

Only because I saw it on the audible app and I thought I would get it.

I finished reading this book and I loved it very much! It seemed to start as a light humorous romance but appeared to go much deeper than that. What I really liked is that Moriarty isn't making it clear who her preference is, or who is right in Nick's and Alice's marriage. They both have their flaws, and it made their story seem so real. I think many married people can relate to that.
I also liked that she included other storylines about different characters (Elizabeth, Frannie). I especially enjoyed it when the same event was described from a different perspective.

I found that most of Moriarty's books have a lighter side, but explore darker issues as well, with a realistic, yet sympathetic angle.
I liked this considerably better than The Husband's Secret which was a dnf for me, but not nearly as much as Big Little Lies. I liked the concept that she wanted to fix mistakes but couldn't remember enough to know now to do that, but in the end that forgetfulness worked well for her as I recall--it's been a while since I read this, but since I haven't had time to be around much for some time, I thought I'd chime in.
I liked the premise, and the beginning - it does make you stop and think "what if..." Eventually however it got predictable for me, and the contest seemed weird and unbelievable. I never read Big Little Lies, but loved the TV series, and it makes me wonder if the TV series maybe outdid the book? Tho' I think I will pick up The Husband's Secret anyway, and read it next.
