Great idea Dovey!Okay, this will make no sense:
Creamy, pock-marked and held aloft by an invisible force.
Describe "The ocean"
Thanks ;)A massive expanse of wet with a life of its own
Describe: the color red without using the word red
No stop red is so hard 😭😭Going up a ladder of hues, the colour of seduction and anger will be found as the most extreme of extremes, the most powerful shade—that flows inside of us.
Describe seaweed
It dances among the waves and wriggles in time with the song of waves lapping, in a world of it's own(I was explaining to my mum the benefits of seaweed just yesterday: high in iron, zinc, B vitamins but I thought not to be too technical here lol)Describe heartbreak
A shattering of all that you thought to be true and real, it leaves you with a sense of betrayal and emptiness, a sense that everything in this world is just a little bit off. (just a side note I have never had my heart broken by an actual person)
Describe beauty
One who knows their own worth because of what they have been through, or rather, in spite of it. When people see real beauty, they are inspired. (This is not like the beauty of nature or the world, but of a person btw)Also, you guys have had pretty good descriptions so far!
Describe the brain
A complicated network, a map of train tracks that intersect and loop every which way. It's full of things that nag you that you just want to forget. It's full of memories, good and bad. It's where your guilt and relief lives. It's also where a black hole that sucks away answers to a test resides. Describe your favorite smell
Warm, ashy and a little earthy or mossy smelling that is caused by the burning of wood, it lingers in your senses and can make you feel the slightest bit lightheaded. Describe sunlight
These descriptions are lush!I can't wait for all your works!
Gilded rays, that pour forth from the sky, as if from the Heavens and they bathe everything in a honeyed glow. Blinding in it's beauty. But isn't everything, if you stare long enough, hard enough?
Describe tiredness
This one I know too well It's this lulling feeling that seems to drag you down. Everything is woozy, and eyelids weight tons. You don't want to move and when you do, it feels like you're already dreaming.
More like sleepiness but eh.
Describe pain
The bullet pierces your heart, the knife is dragged down your body; your best friend ignores you, the one you thought was “the one” leaves you for someone else; the raw scrape on your knee from the bike fall, the bee sting and the paper cut—you don’t want them, but when you come back from them you’re better than before, because what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger 😂Describe a horse galloping
Jaedon wrote: "The bullet pierces your heart, the knife is dragged down your body; your best friend ignores you, the one you thought was “the one” leaves you for someone else; the raw scrape on your knee from the..."The clip, clop reverberates through the ground and you feel it before you see it. You feel the steady canter, set deep in your bones and then the horse's gallop comes to an abrupt start- leading you to wonder what is amiss.
(I actually need to do a horse scene so this was good practice- Dove will be the judge of that though lol)
Describe sleep after a long day
Your eyes are already halfway there, feeing heavy and droopy. So much so, that when you close your eyes something doesn’t feel right. Until you lie on your bed, cozy under the blankets with a soft pillow beneath your head. Then, and only then, all is right in the worldDescribe making someone else laugh
The soft wrinkles appearing as his eyes close, the lips curving to a full blown smile before the angelic growl of a laugh vibrated the air, the melodious sound playing games with my beating heart. The half chuckles escaping his lips as he tried to control his laugh, the clench of his hands as he tried to steady himself up, I felt like my whole world was destroyed and built again but only with the sound of his laughter vibrating through every wall. Describe 'the past'
Coloured in sepia. Slightly hazzy in your memory. Blurred around the edges. A part of us that we hold and bear the weight of. Of lessons learned and experiences taken. We can't do much about it but can learn from it.Describe a fever
Dance fever? Haha jkThe sweat dances on the top of his lip and his forehead, threatening to break out but never following through. Red, hot pain sliced through his body, which not even the coldest of water can take away.
There is a red haze that follows everything he looks at, which he’s sure is what’s made him feel this way. He closes his eyes to shut it out but the pressure on his eyelids makes everything worse, hotter, redder.
Lol this was a bit dramatic
Describe seeing colour for the first time
Looking at him standing on his one knee before me, the red painting a flush as the snow surrounded us, his blue eyes simmering under the sunset, the white of his teeth harbouring my heart as he smiled at me. With his vision dancing between my raised anticipation and beating anxiety, I saw him pull the glowing emerald out of the box, his eyes asking me a million different questions while his lips asked me one, all I managed was a nod before the tears fell down, damping my cheeks, pushing the ring through my finger, placing a soft kiss, he tugged my chin up and as he did, I took him in, I took the red of his eyes, the frown of his forehead, the genuine curl of his lips and as I did, I realised how black and white my life had been- before him.Describe 'love at first sight'
It's when you see him/her and you just know it. It's not just the way he looks. It's his actions. It's what he was in the middle of doing and the way he does it, walking or shrugging or buying something or laughing or picking something up or just doing nothing. It catches your breath and takes it away and for the next few days, it's all you can think about. That little action and the way his expression looked, the way he was posed. It's like a picture caught in that one moment. It makes your heart start racing and every time you think about, it beats faster. Lol don't know if that's accurate. I don't believe in love at first sight though.
Wow- both of those were amazing!Quite emotional too!
LOL Allie- you may say that but we never know! Haha- I actually think it's more like 'jolt at first sight'- like you feel something or notice but never acknowledge it's love, at first- that way, you can have your enemies to lovers!
Anyway.
You loathe the song: the sound making your head ache but your body rebels and you begin to sing the words over. Your lips moving on their accord. Why do you do it? It's as if a little weevil has wriggled through your mind, eating up your good conscious. It's taken home in your head and it will not leave, no matter how many times you try to be rid of it, or sing another song to ward it off. Nothing works. After some time, you wonder- is it really that bad?
Yes, you mind nags, it is.

Describe "The ocean""
She's divine. She's fun and wild. She's powerful. She's my soul and my energy. She's content with change. She's calm, but capable of extreme swells. Only certain people truly understand her, the ones who aren't timid. She seems to find that the daredevils- risk takers if you will, understand her best. She's made many memories with humans who can only communicate with her by being in the moment. She's seen many sunsets and heard many laughs. I aspire to be like The Ocean, and like the ones who know her best- the daredevils, of course.
Homeeight days, it's been eight days since I walked out of that room, walked away from the memories, walked away from the pain, walked away from him. This void inside my heart is growing each day, I feel tried, I feel lost, I feel nothing and everything, all at once, the way he would tuck me under his arms after a long day and let me ramble, his half burnt toasts, I miss everything. The way his lips would curl to a smirk, his eyes filling with concern, the anger, the love, the lust, his smell, the spice and musk with a hint of rich whiskey lingering in the dark, I miss him, but most of all I miss having him, having a home.
Oh my gosh! These are SO good- it makes me feel!@Lilly- wow- those were amazing and reminded me of something, so you captured that really well!
@Dove- doesn't it remind you of something?
@Harrietawrites-wow, that is so detailed and lovely- I'm convinced you've been in love before lol

I'll message you lol
Harrietawrites wrote: "Describe "a baby's first words""The baby's mouth contorting to aid the delivery of their first word- a slurred, blurred word that may not even be a real- brings joy and love to their foster parents and brings tears to their eyes. Their first word. And certainty not the last. Incoherent babble that speaks for itself follows soon after and they just know this baby will be one chatty tot indeed.
Constant patter against the gables.A splash as a little tot runs through the dip in the street, where the water has gathered.
Loamy and earthy and damp are the smells that find the way to your nose and awaken something deep.
Something that causes you to spin and dance and to not give a care about how wet and cold you'll be after.
What matters now is the immense joy thrumming through you.
Describe a stomach ache
Every moment…it feels as if a new life has begun. And it has. Every moment, something changes. If not for me, then for someone else. It’s slipping away from me, it’s sliding out of my grasp. I’m running out of it, I’m racing towards it. I’m trying to overtake it, because everyone always needs more. But I can’t. I can’t overtake it.
It will never end, but it will most certainly make sure I do.
Every moment…I must seize the opportunity, before it runs out.
Describe the smell of books (not sure if it’s been done above bc I haven’t gone thru them all yet)
A flavour no one tasted before, a flavour many tried to capture and lock- in a box that is made of steel to get a whiff at times to feel. It is the scent of rich paper, remaining me of the serene feeling I had when I read those lines, captured those little words to my heart and the dreamy smile on my mind. It is the scent of happiness, sadness and everything that is in between that every reader feels as she skips through those lines...it is filled with anticipation, anxiety and above all it is a scent of euphoria
omg that's so hard ahh i wanna try tho :)when you fall in love, you lose yourself in the person that you fell in love with, and when you fall out of love your heart will shatter and you will feel lost and scared and alone, but not for long, because, slowly, you will start to fall in love again. not with another person, but with yourself
describe your favorite song
It's a passionate love but not a long one. It lasts a few days at most before I get tired, move on and find something else. These are beautiful days, filled with my love's rhythm, enlightened by its words, uplifted by the thoughts it provokes. Days full of anticipation, days during which I flee into a space for just me and my love. We spend long hours together, hours where I block all the other noise and focus just on the two of us and our flow, embrace every second and discover all the heights and depths I can find. That is until I move on. Often it's just a coincidence, a corner in the wide world where I find something else to love. And then I'm gone, following a new rhythm.I hope you like it :)
Next: Describe a journey.
(wow thats so good)A Path that may stretch from minutes to hours to years. Many stops along to way, or just one stop. A Path that might be known to those walking it, or path they look back apon, not knowing at that time it was a journey. It might be alone, or it might be with others. Theres meaning in the path, and meaning of the end.
Describe Fabric U-U Any type idc
(some one needs to give me Describe for a fight, i could do it so dam well)
Fingers brush against rolls and rolls of designs; Glittering brocaded prints and silk like gossamer. Threads woven together to create a seamless design, without flaw. Entwined go create a print as soft as cotton— the clouds of the sky. Laced with grace and elegance, to adorn a bride so fair. Wool to warm the coldest hearts, kindling a warmth that kisses cocoa skin. Threads trailing behind cuffs, forgotten, unclipped. Yet free in nature, like a wildflower among the grasses. Wow that was long XD
OK FINE HERE YA GO!:
FIGHT
YOURE WELCOME. XX
