Being a writer is like trying to remember where you put your draft/paper with all your notes on and remembering late at night
Being a writer is like debating if you should use a comma or a period mark, then you end up changing it an hour later
Being a writer is when you literally research what a desert smells like for two hours just so you can pick the perfect smell for one half of your ship
Being a writer is like when you plan for this character to die before they even have a name but then you get too attached
lol Stop it🤣
Being a writer is staring out your window and writing everything you see, including the exact shade of blue the sky is before nightfall and themn seeing the moon and writing about it in the most detailed way ever and then...
You get the idea
Being a writer is like having a brilliant idea, with all these twists and amazing characters…but then you have to change a bunch of it because you realise you recently read a book like that, or you’ve seen a movie with a similar plot 🥲

Being a writer is having a beautiful image of a place in your head but instead writing "...there was a tree.".

being a writer is thinking of an "amazing" piece of dialogue at 2am for your mcs but when you think about it the next day, it's absolutely horrible and sappy. 😭
✰Lilly✰ wrote: "being a writer is thinking of an "amazing" piece of dialogue at 2am for your mcs but when you think about it the next day, it's absolutely horrible and sappy. 😭"That's so relatable but at night you're like 'Wow- this is amazing!'
Being a writer is writing super fast, so you don't forget any ideas, only to go back and not be able to read a thing
sadly that’s true tooBeing a (underage) writer is sitting down at your laptop to write down this awesome idea you had then right when you go to someone calls you and tells you to do something so you just repeat it over and over in your head while you do the thing so you don’t forget

Oh my yes, I'll be chanting it like a mantra
Being a writer is cutting away plots and characters you really want after already making up the main story because it gets messy. (I once read a really good story but the author just couldn't keep her cast small and even if it was amazing, it was a bit too much.)
Being a writer is googling 'how to fill a plot hole' looking for ideas and releasing it's WAY more than a plot hole! What you have found yourself in a massive crater! A ravine! The Grand Canyon of all plot holes!
being a writer is having a perfect scene play out in your mind but having no motivation to write it!! Sometimes motivation and creativity would be there but I couldn't find the proper words to sentence it perfectly!!
Harrietawrites wrote: "being a writer is having a perfect scene play out in your mind but having no motivation to write it!! Sometimes motivation and creativity would be there but I couldn't find the proper words to sent..."Oh my- yes- that happens to me all the time lol
Being a writer is having a little debate in your head about whether to use 'can't' or 'cannot'.And also temporarily abandoning your story to write another one that has piqued your interest
Coming up with an amazing name and then forgetting itThe amount of thought power I put into remembering it today lol
yes! that is such a pain, like it’s right there and you can feel it but can’t actually put it together
DoveyV wrote: "yes! that is such a pain, like it’s right there and you can feel it but can’t actually put it together"Exactly- it was actually two words into one- I'll explain
DoveyV wrote: "facts"Yes- last week was not the most motivating for me- Dovey may have realised but today I got a little urge to write- poetry- but at least it was something lol
lolBeing a writer is when you have a harder time picking a name for the person you made up in your head than an actual living thing (baby, dog, cat, etc.)
Being a writer and reader is not knowing what 'and their eyes darkened' means but finding it to be the only appropriate phrase to use in your writing, as it suddenly makes sense.
Being a writer is taking pictures of your sister's amazing hair styles (that you have no clue how to do) and saving them for your own character ideas

Being a writer is when you cry over killing one of your characters and think they deserve better but still don't do anything to save them(Ruqayyah... I may have killed one of your nephews today in order to hit my goal)

I haven't been wanting to tell you but it's been planned like since the very beginning three years ago
how? like how does he die or how did I manage to kill him?
