This is a modern classic, and I've been wanting to read it for eons. It's set in Ethiopia, which is pretty foreign for an American like me.

I finished it and I enjoyed it so much! The writing was so bold and passionate; it was worthy of 500+ pages!
I've never heard of this book before, but it sounds really interesting, so I've just added it to my to-read list.
You will be so happy once you've read it (well, actually, you'll be shocked and sad because so many people died, but that's beside the point).
I've read other books that take place in an African country and they often leave you a little sad, but I still find it interesting reading about a life and culture so different from my own.
