Chapter 1 – 4 : (view spoiler)[Ridge is deaf! I did not see that coming! I am enjoying the book so far but considering that Ridge has a girlfriend, I am feeling a bit weirded out thinking about the impending romance between him and Sydney. Hunter irritated me right since he made an appearance in the book, he just seems condescending honestly and I am more angry at Tori for betraying Sydney (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5 – 9 : (view spoiler)[I like Maggie tbh and I feel bad for her because it’s so obvious that Ridge and Sydney have developed a liking for each other. I wish that Maggie wasn’t in the picture at all because she doesn’t deserve this. I feel sad for Ridge and Brennan, their parents sound awful. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10 – 15 : (view spoiler)[What is Ridge and Maggie’s backstory? Seems like they got together for a reason and Ridge has made some kind of promise to her which he can’t back out on. But I still find it problematic that Sydney and Ridge have all these feelings for each other and neither of them plan to be honest about it with Maggie (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16 – 21 : (view spoiler)[Maggie…this is the first book I’ve read where I do not at all care about the romance between main characters – Ridge and Sydney, my heart hurts for Maggie. The conversation she has with Ridge brought tears to my eyes and I just want to give her a hug (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[I surely can’t be the only person annoyed by Ridge for running after Sydney immediately after Maggie break ups with him? It really didn’t sit right with me and I did not like the way CoHo tried to portray cheating as something beautiful – IDC about the connection between them, the fact remains that Ridge was committed to Maggie (hide spoiler)]
