The only book i've read is A Wrinkle in Time. Whoa!
I do have a few on my TBR, though; but I will definitely have to lurk and check out the rest.
Good luck and happy reading, Jami!

Bill wrote: "Alias Grace is on my list as well. You've got quite a mix there. I hope you enjoy them all."Thanks! I tired to mix it up so I don't get bored.
My Sister The Serial Killer is on my to-read list. I'd be interested to know what you think of it.
So many of these are on my TBR, but I haven't read any of them. Maybe I should, it's a good list 😉Good luck and happy reading!

Thanks! I'll let you know if they are worth it! :)
Jami, I've read My Sister, the Serial Killer, A Wrinkle in Time, Olive Kitteridge, and The Summer That Melted Everything, and all were good. Seems like you've got good variety on your list. I've got Alias Grace on my individual challenge, it looks like a book that a lot of us want to read. Enjoy your choices!
I've only read A Wrinkle in Time, which is one of my all-time favorites from childhood. I don't even know how many times I've read it; 10 might be too low.Happy reading!

I just read Betty and liked it so much, I added The Summer That Melted Everything; I had never heard of this author before. If it is as good as Betty, I am in for a treat!

Thanks Anne! I feel like this is one of those books that everyone but me has read.....time to rectify that!
Great mix! I've read 4, 6, 7, and 9 on your list and enjoyed them all. Look forward to hearing your thoughts!Happy Reading!

Thanks Patricia! I've been getting good feedback from the people who have read some of these books, and now I can't wait to start them!

LOL, that speaks to my state of mind! :)
Good to hear that you liked the ones that you read!
I read and enjoyed the Self-Made Widow! You definitely need to read the first in the series to fully appreciate it. I am ready for book 3 in the series!
I finished Ladder of Years. It was okay; it was interesting enough to finish, but not something I couldn't wait to get back into.
I listened to the Secret Lives of Church Ladies on audio. I enjoyed this collection of short stories; the topics were varied and the characters were interesting. There was only one story that I didn't particularly care for, and I think that was more that the narrator didn't do a great job differentiating between 2 of the voices for this story.
Finished Red Notice; I absolutely loved this fast-paced, inspiring and gripping book. Highly recommend.
Finished a bunch more: Soul of an Octopus, Forever Interrupted, Elephant Company and The Summer that Melted Everything. I wasn't as enamored with Elephant Company as I thought I would be. I really liked The Summer That Melted Everything; it was interesting, unique and the characters drew me in. Soul of an Octopus was good and I learned some things; Forever Interrupted was sad, but good.
The Book Woman's Daughter was as good as the first book, which doesn't always happen. Pig Tales was a interesting combination of fun stories about pigs' intelligence and horrific information about the pork industry.
Alondra wrote: "Woot, woot! You are almost done!! 10 down and 2 to go?? Good job, Jami :)"
Thanks! I try to read all 16 of them; once I put them in a list, I like to see them crossed off!!!!!!
I really enjoyed My Sister the Serial Killer; short chapters made it a quick read and I was entertained. I also enjoyed Olive Kitteridge so much that I got and read the sequel shortly afterwards; both were excellent. Just finished a Wrinkle in Time; it was okay, it didn't blow me away, perhaps because by the time I got around to reading it, the premise of collective memory had been done many times.

I felt the same about A Wrinkle in Time. It was just meh. It could have been so much more, but I just didn't see the magic in it.

Congratulations! Any new favorites? How was Alias Grace? That one has been on my TBR for a long time and I hope to get to it next year.
