From Bookpage: a list of 26 mystery and suspense novels that the people at bookpage are "itching to read."

Feel free to another list of upcoming/anticipated 2023 books if you come across one.

Icewineanne | 349 comments Terrific list Nancy! Put holds on 4 pre-orders at my library.
Thanks for the link ☃️

RJ - Slayer of Trolls (hawk5391yahoocom) Small Mercies by Dennis Lehane caught my eye and I'm sure many of the others will be good but nothing made me itchy. Maybe the people at BookPage need some Cortizone-10?

The Lehane caught my eye as well.
I'll be looking for other "most anticipated" lists and hope for more.

Rhonda Lane | 6 comments I saw several good ones, too. :) I wonder how early we can reserve books on the Libby and Hoopla apps?

James Best (jamesbest) | 312 comments I may give the new Dennis Lehane novel a try, although after a six year hiatus I am a bit leery.

The new book by S.A. Cosby is also on my radar. I read his previous two novels in 2022 and really enjoyed them.

No matter what topic you post, there's always that one author who has to have his sock puppets spam all over it.

Thank you for posting this! Very interesting list!
I just finished Exiles by Jane Harper and thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked its nice and relaxed pace, it wasn't a super twisted plot or a dark one, yet it was a solid story with interesting characters and some smart moves along the way. Was looking towards Caroline Kepnes but i am afraid her series played out for me.
Nevertheless, there are a few authors that caught ,my eye and I will be giving them a try.

KKinley Not technically new, but the NYRB has been translating Jean-Patrick Manchette's works into English over the last few years, I'm on a mission to acquire and read them all before the newest one drops in November. Brisk, violent, funny, good politics and usually under 200 pages, he's becoming one of my favorite noir writers.

Eric Magun | 3 comments Hi Everyone!

I'm Eric Magun, an award-winning filmmaker and now novelist. I’m excited to invite you to step inside the Sinners Club—my multi-award-winning debut novel Thank God for the Sinners that just hit the shelves in August. Dark, gritty, and unapologetically raw, this psychological thriller drags you headfirst into the wild, unforgettable ride following outcast Rick Price as he explores memory, childhood scars, trauma, adventures through China and more. Early readers have called it 'Tarantino meets Bukowski on a Bourdain odyssey.'

As this is my life’s work, I would be thrilled to know all your thoughts, opinions and feedback on here, also through a Goodreads review, or even an amazon review. As a new author, this is incredibly valuable to me and I would be happy to return the favor to anyone else in the community. Hope to find new ‘sinners’ in here. Buckle up and enjoy the chaos!
