Between the Chapters Book Club discussion

Were you surprised at the evolution of Belle and Johnny’s relationship? Do you think that Johnny truly ended up loving her, or was it more of a miserable infatuation with a woman he could not have? -Admin KJ

No I don’t think Johnny loved Belle. Like all misogynistic men he wanted to control her. I know this because I was in a misogynistic relationship for 35 years (slow learner) and I knew Johnny from the start. Belle was so lucky to have found two good men after him.
