reading challenges <3 discussion

hey everyone! introduce yourselves here and please have some patience as we get this all set up! we can only create 3 topics an hour so it might be a few days before everything's up and running.

i'll start with the introductions i guess!

soo i'm savannah, my nickname is obviously sav. i really adore reading challenges and i used to mod in a pretty big one. i'm kind of bored with summer and all so i decided to make a group! my birthday is december 22nd and i'm a proud capricorn. my favorite books (i'm reading this currently but i know it'll be a favorite) The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Throne of Glass, ACOTAR... my favorite genres range from fantasy to romance to dystopian- but i'll read anything as long as i like the plot line. what else to sayyyyy- outside of reading, this summer i am taking classes through a community college near me, uhm you can commonly find me with a notebook because i write a lot... my favorite tv shows are criminal minds and dance moms. that's all i've got for now!

My favorite books change every day but right now it's Letters to the Lost, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, Fruits Basket Manga, and Agatha Christie mysteries.

I'm Kara, my name in my goodreads page changes but it's easy to find me if you want to see it. I too have been a reader since I was young. My fave genres are just about everything except romance, I helped a author write a few back in the 1990's but got turned off them when I was the manager of a national chain bookstore. I will say that I will read fantasy, paranormal and horror books before other genres. I do follow several authors and will accept arc books or published books for honest reviews.
What else,.........I've been married for 45 years, have 2 children and 4 grandchildren and 3 cats. I'm disabled from a very rare spinal cord condition, I think that's about it. Oh, for those that read on kindles and would like to know places to go free or cheaper books in the genres you like, send me a message and I'll give you my list of places.

Hello, Group! My name is Julietta and I'm a retired Kindergarten teacher altho I've taught all levels of human beings from adults down to preschoolers with the exception of Middle School which is a lil scary to me!

I'm a die hard bookworm. Have been since childhood! My favorite genres are novels (current or classics) and short stories, but I also love memoir, biographies and humor. Occasionally I can be persuaded to read romance, noir, fantasy or scifi with a partner.

Some of my favorite authors are Isabel Allende, Alice Munro, Barbara Kingsolver, Anne Tyler and Louise Erdrich. When I fall in love with an author, I often go thru a stretch of reading all their books! I'm able to read Spanish language works in the original language.

Family wise I'm part of a bilingual/bicultural family. We all speak English and Spanish except for my m-in-law who is monolingual in Spanish.

My husband is from Mexico and I'm the daughter of a Bulgarian immigrant. We have a married daughter living nearby so all in all I have a pretty great life now.!
