Katie (katieroseg) | 6 comments One of my favorites that I can read over and over again:

Watership Down

I first read it in 4th grade, and have read many times since then. Rabbits were my favorite animal when I was little, so that's why it initially appealed to me. It's so much more than just a story about rabbits, though. These rabbits go through a lot, and you really care for them. These rabbits are very human. One of the things I especially loved about this book is the mythology. Richard Adams gave the rabbits a whole culture, and even language. If you've never read this book, you definitely should.

Steve (platypotamus) | 1 comments I have read Bridge of Birds so many times, and I totally want to read it again any time I mention it, including right now. A fun, funny, incredible adventure through a mythically rich ancient China. I can't recommend it enough.

Jan (jan_g) The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

This book was so different and utterly compelling. You follow the time traveller as he pops up in his wife's life at different times (so the age-difference changes). A perfect love story. Early-on you know how the story will end (you'll need to read it to find out!), but that doesn't diminish the story whatsoever. Probably my most-recommended book. I adore this book, as does my teenage daughter (as does my friend, I guess, who borrowed it and never returned it!!! ;-)

I adore that book. I loathe romance, but I adore that book. It took forever for me to read it because it was a romance, but it's brilliant. My husband and I both love it actually. It's sort of our book. You know, like how some couples have a song?
