does anyone have tips for anxiety? i dread going to school because of how anxious i get.

what causes you anxiety? the social aspect or the grades?

either grades or socially, this may not be the best advice but you’re not alone. there are loads of people also feelings anxious about school.

best thing I did for myself was to take self-care/mental health days :)

tbh everything about school brings anxiety. grades, social aspects, and just like the safety of being there.

for safety - carry pepper spray & have ur location shared at all times/safety bracelets
and the #1 thing i can tell u for grades is just good time management. it will make everything seem so much less overwhelming. try ur best and grades arent everything!!
maybe for the social aspect, just try and make friends, if not really close friends, just people you can make small talk to in each class. like just be like "hey i like your _" or "did we have hw for this class?" and go from there <3

Upperclassmen tend to not like the freshmen. Mostly because you guys are new and acting out so we tend to put you guys in your place. This is coming from an upperclassmen

if you don’t have access to pepper spray (it’s illegal where I am, go figure), travel-sized hairspray is useful!

that is not at all true, unless the upperclassman is an absolute jerk, which i'm sure you won't encounter
most of the time, we'll either be polite or just ignore you. there is nothing whatsoever about upperclassman automatically hating freshies, like sometimes they do act out but generally, that is not true

although i will say, we had our first pep rally of the year the other day and ofc all the freshmen dressed up, i thought it was funny bc they still have hope in faith in this prison school

My school is completely different then. The majority at my school hate the freshman.

as an upper class man — grad school lol — I honestly can’t tell who is a freshman or not … but I have heard annoying things that *usually* freshmen do (like some would be doing TikTok dances and blocking the way for people 💀💀).

but it’s usually a bad apple case
