Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 2996 comments As always, I'm posting on the Goodreads group (Personal Readathon Logs) and Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/winesaboutb...

Sprints are always Hour 1 (8am), 4 (11am), 8 (3pm), 12 (7pm), 16 (11pm), 20 (3am), and 24 (7am).

Keeping it verrrrry low-key as I will be almost 29 weeks pregnant by then!

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 2996 comments Opening Survey
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
New Hampshire
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
The Green Mile
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
White Fudge Pretzel Flipz
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
29 weeks pregnant with a boy after 6 rounds of IVF and our last frozen embryo!
5) What are your goals for this readathon?
Read! But also, take it easy. Relax. I already know I won't be striving for the 24 hours so I'm just going to enjoy myself.

Half-Point Progress Report
1) How many books have you been reading? Have you finished any? Are you on track with respect to your readathon goals so far?
I've finished 2. I've started 3. No goals so yes, on track! lol
2) Have you eaten real food today? (Not just junk food, ACTUAL HEALTHY FOOD) What was your favorite food or beverage so far?
I've eaten a solid breakfast, lunch, and supper with snacks. That Pepsi tasted real good.
3) Have you been participating in any of the activities on our social media (sprints, photo challenges, discussion questions, BINGO, etc.)
Just the sprints.
4) Are you growing sleepy? Do you plan to nap, or stop early, or are you extending the readathon hours to include sleep?
I'm not tired yet but by midnight I will be. I'll try staying up as late as I can but I'm not planning on just napping. When I sleep, it's going to be for 8+ hours. lol. I usually wake back up for the final hour but I probably won't this time.
5) Have you been outside yet today? Have you had much exercise (besides the heavy lifting required to hold your book)?
Only twice to bring the dog out. There will be one more time for that. It's been a chilly and rainy day so not conducive to spending time outside, especially reading outside. I'm thinking of walking on my treadmill for a little bit when I get tired.
6) How is your readathon going, overall?
It's going well! My husband left for the afternoon so it was just me, the dog, and the 2 cats (all the girls) and it was nice and quiet. He's back and has friends over so definitely no longer quiet but they're in the basement (re: man cave) and I'm not!

Closing Survey
1) How many books did you read during this readathon? Did you have any favorites?
I read from 5 books. I'm enjoying The Green Mile!
2) How many books did you finish?
I finished 3 books.
3) Did you accomplish your goals for this readathon?
I didn't make any goals this time. The only goal was to read and I did!
4) How did your snacks and meals work out? Are there things you would change about the food and beverages side of your readathon for next time?
Very good! Equal parts meals and snacks, healthy and junk. I was never hungry. lol. And I stayed hydrated.
5) Did you enjoy this readathon? What was the most successful part of your readathon? What would you change for next time?
I always enjoy the readathons! And it's always successful because the only goal is to read! The actual next time I will have a 4-month-old so a LOT will be changing. 🤣
6) Will you be continuing your readathon reading past the end of our official readathon?
Not necessarily continuing the readathon but I am *always* reading and that won't change today. lol

Hour 16 Reading Sprint: Wizard and Glass (The Dark Tower, #4) by Stephen King pg 92-134
Wizard and Glass is slow-going. I have a big paperback but it's still 672 pgs and the font is not large! Even The Green Mile paperback is big with small font and 465 pgs. Throwing in a graphic novel each block helps my page count. And my eyes! lol. Heading to read in bed now which means I won't last much longer but I will hop on the treadmill for a half hour first.

Check-In #5/6 - Hours 17-24 (12am-8am):
Check-In Time: 10:19am

Hour 24 Reading Sprint: n/a
I didn't walk on the treadmill. My bed beckoned and I obeyed. I read The Green Mile until 1:30am and then went to bed till 9:45am. Got my 8 hours of sleep since I didn't get up to finish out the readathon so I'm happy. lol

Pages Read Total: 723

Comments:
Overall, with 2 King chunksters, I'm happy with my readathon stats! I didn't end up listening to anything! I didn't take any breaks until sleep. I did 10 of the 12 sprints. I joined a handful of discussions. I posted a handful of photos throughout the readathon on Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/winesaboutbooks). I'm really enjoying The Green Mile and Wizard and Glass is not unbearable. lol. I'll be starting a buddy read of Holly today as well.
