Jennifer Hess | 2 comments Juvenile book read around 1988-1992. Non fiction and covered ghost stories, urban legends, strange coincidences, folklore etc. Included cartoon images on each chapter page. One story was about the song "Gloomy Sunday;" another about the book Titan "predicting" the Titanic sinking; one story was called "Water water everywhere" about people who had water mysteriously flooding their house (I think).
The copy I read was from the local library, hardcover and green. The title was something like "ghosts, ghouls and" something something and had the same type of cartoony ghosts on each word. Probably published in the 70's or early 80's.

Juels | 3320 comments I think you had Amazing Ghosts And Ghouls by Peter Eldin. I, also, found Amazing ghosts & other mysteries / Amazing Ghosts and Other Mysteries by Peter Eldin. It has the three stories you mentioned - Gloomy Sunday, Water Water Everywhere, and the sinking of the Titanic. Cute illustrations as well. It is possibly the same stories in another volume or the volume was renamed.
