Between the Chapters Book Club discussion

The Enemy at Home is set during World War II in Seattle. How did the author's portrayal of the era contribute to the story? Did the historical backdrop add depth to the narrative? -Admin KJ

I found there to be too much emphasis put on historical backdrop. I found it distracting.
