Ireland is a huge part of this book - the scenery, the people...this book wouldn't be the same set anywhere else. Why do you think Carlene O'Connor chose to have the story take place here?

I haven't read the book yet, but I believe that the author has an Irish background. I read somewhere that there was a lot of stories handed down from her ancestors - all placed within Ireland. And she does have a number of series all with an Irish background. Seems she pulls from her heritage a lot.
