Totally agree, Alex. The '60s are no where near as interesting as the Jamie/Claire bits. I forgot how depressing the beginning of this one is, knowing that they were separated. I get what you're saying about the time jump, but I think it ends up working. It did for me, anyway. Even if it is kinda gut-wrenching. I agree it's been done better, though.

How do you feel about Roger? Overall I like him, but he's no Jamie :)

I shall be a month behind in reading and making posts with this novel. It will be a challenge that I looking forward to in reading this series more or less back to back. I see that this novel is set 20 years later which I find quite startling.
