When did you first read The Chronicles of Narnia? How did you find out about them? What made you want to read them?

My Dad read these books along with the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit to my siblings and I. After that I read them myself.
We read the Narnia books aloud as a family as well!! I was on my own the the Lord of the Rings though.
I read the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe in second grade. 20 years later, I'm finally going through the whole series.
I think I was 6 when I first read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I read the rest later. I started reading the series when my friend said he liked them.
I think I was in middle school when I first read them. I'm not sure what took me so long! I guess I wasn't really interested before. Then my brother handed me the books and was all like, "you need to read these." I'm glad I did! :)
I was really young, I think 7-8? Somewhere around there, my mom had them in her bookshelf (I don't know why cause she doesn't like fantasy) and my big sis read them and got me interested in them so I picked em up too.
I was about 7-8 years old or so (same time as picking up Harry Potter) when I first started the series. I have no idea why I picked it up, I don't remember. But, I didn't finish the series until last year (due to stalling on the last two), so it was extremely upsetting when I finished the Last Battle.

Have you read the Hobbit?
I started pretty young, I think. My mom was homeschooling me and my siblings, and part of the curriculum was reading aloud. She read Chronicles of Narnia, and I listened with every ounce of attention an around-or-almost-10-year-old could muster. ;)I've never really read through the entire collection, just skimmed the book to verify quotes or scenes, but I've listened to the dramatized audio version (made by Focus on the Family Radio Theater) a lot. I didn't keep track of how many times I've listened to them, but I can tell you that I wore out a few of the CDs... :)
My mom read The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and The Silver Chair to me when I was 5-6. I read them all on my own in second grade and have read them on and off ever since.
I first read The Lion, The With and The Wardrobe when I was 12, it was actually last year (yeah I'm 13 now) so I am new to the world of C.S.Lewis and Narnia but I absolutely love it!!!! I was in my school library and I thought that I should read it as I like that type of book and also because I have heard of Narnia many times before. I do not regret choosing that book.I am finishing off the series now.
I read my first Narnia book when I was about 8, then went on to read them to my children years later. The chronicles were also the subject of my dissertation when I did my degree. So glad to find a Narnia group on here - come on folks - keep writing for Narnia!
