I have been trying to make an effort to read more Ursula K. Le Guin, which mostly means buying books and putting them in my to-read stack, but I finally got around to this one... I liked the world she created a lot, and love a good fantasy story, but felt like it was missing the mark a little, kind of like reading about Holden Caulfield - gets harder to empathize with a teenage boy as I get older I guess, but the afterward she writes explaining why she wrote the book and it gave me a greater appreciation. If I have the time, I would like to continue reading the other books in the series, if only to see what other character arcs she created. And maybe I'll hold on to it for Soren :)
