How do you defy destiny?

(view spoiler)[I don't live in the US, and I'm not trying to be rude or anything, just curious, does everyone have weird nicknames for their friends and teachers? The ending was a bit interesting though and I'd like to know a bit more about Helen thought as she seems to be a very strange character (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Well, this was ... weird. The book is quite confusing but it’s not bad. I don’t really know what to say about Helen attacking Lucas, though I really want to know why she did it and what came over her. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 4

Helen has guts to go to school after what happened. I would ask to be home schooled.
I wonder who the woman is that attacked Helen and Kate. and how the hell did Helen get out of her shoes and where did Lucus come from? Who are the Furies and why can Helen and Lucus see them. Why do they hate each other. So many questions??!! Also I'm hating Lucus. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5-9
(view spoiler)[ okay so I'm a little confused. But so far I'm understanding that the Delos family and Helen are Scions which are demi gods part human part God. and they each belong to a House. There are Four Houses the Delos family belongs to the House of Thebes. Helen doesn't know which House she belongs to because she doesn't know anything about her mother.
Since Lucus saved Helen while she passed out while flying they can no longer see the Furies. Which I want to know why. and also why all of a sudden Lucus and Helen can't stay away from each other.
The part I'm confused about is the rest of the Delos family. which they are called the Hundred Cousins. Why do they want to kill Helen if they are the ones attacking her. And why are they not with the rest of their family. And what is with the whole Atlantis thing. (hide spoiler)]

Lucas: (view spoiler)[ I like Lucas actually he seems like a really nice guy and everything I just want to learn more about him and his family and what they have to do with the Greek mythology (hide spoiler)]

Greek Myth: (view spoiler)[ So far it's really good and everything what they are saying and I love how were gonna learn more and I feel like Helen mom is a goddess that's why she left so we will learn about her (hide spoiler)]

Lucas & Helen: (view spoiler)[ well at least they don't want to kill each other anymore which is really good and also they may be developing for each other but there something else going on also (hide spoiler)]

Ceron: (view spoiler)[ Okay this kid scares me because he killed a female reporter and now he's here to do something to the Delos family and we don't know what yet and I hope nothing happeneds to Hector because I'm really warming up to him (hide spoiler)]

up to chapter 15 and holy twist

Helen: (view spoiler)[ Well we learn more about her powers and everything which is really cool and so much has happened to her I felt so bad then her and Lucas are supposed to reply the love tragedy that happeneds throughout history (hide spoiler)]

Helen's Mom: (view spoiler)[ so we finally find out who her mom is and it's Daphne the girl who killed Ajax and I was freaking out and I was like no freaking way and I was freaking out I wonder what she has to tell her (hide spoiler)]

Ceron: (view spoiler)[ I hate this stupid bitch like I want to punch him in the face so badly you have no idea and I'm so mad at him like all he want is immortality and everything that he doesn't care who he kills and I'm so mad I just want him to die (hide spoiler)]

I finished and it was so good

Helen: (view spoiler)[ She did so well I'm so proud of her and all the stuff she did to protect the people she loves and then we find out there freaking cousin Helen and Lucas are cousins I'm so mad it's city of bones all over again (hide spoiler)]

Daphne: (view spoiler)[ I actually really like her I don't know why people don't like her I think it's because maybe further in the series she becomes a bitch or whatever but she is protecting Hector and I felt so bad but I like her but she is hiding something (hide spoiler)]

Ceron: (view spoiler)[ Well he is dead and Hector killed him which is a great sin to do that and I'm like good for you Hector but I felt so bad and also I wonder who the bad guy in the next book is gonna be we will see but overall he was a good bad guy (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 6: (view spoiler)[ I'm finding this book so confused, and things are only just now starting to make sense. So, what are they? Demigods? Are they quarter god? I didn't really understand when it was said. So Lucas is Apollo, I feel like Helen is Artemis or maybe Ares but a girl would make more sense because it was her mom that left them. Although it's making more sense now I wish it was easier to understand the first 20% or so. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10: (view spoiler)[ I've been meaning to read this book for a while but it's just been a big disappointment so far for me. I normally love Greek mythology but this book isn't doing it very well. Plus, the whole demigod thing can't possible live up to Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It's also really annoying how everyone is trying to push Helen and Lucas apart, including Lucas himself. It seems like he's leading her on, really. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 13: (view spoiler)[ This is going more and more downhill, to be honest. I wish there was no romance and more plot because the "romance" is pretty awful. He keeps leading her on then gets angry when she gets attracted to him, or when she tries to even talk to him about it he just shuts down and says that he can't control himself but it can't happen anyway. I can't deal with books that focus on a romance that isn't even happening. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 18: (view spoiler)[ Well, that was a mess... I hope Hector ends up alright, he was growing on me. Maybe Daphne will be able to reverse whatever's influencing his family? I have a bad feeling about Daphne but she's also helping Helen. Is it only because she feels a duty towards her daughter? (hide spoiler)]

That is good to know, I've been on the fence about it, but it is almost 500 pages so.....

Honestly I wasn't overly impressed by it either. I felt like it has more of a buzz than it should

I got an ebook bundle with the first 2 books for like $3 and even then I felt it was a waste of money lol. Spent quite a lot of my time on the first book hoping it'd get good but just didn't enjoy it.

Yeah, I was going to read it because it is cheap, but now I'm thinking maybe not!
