Each month we will have a different theme of audiobook for you to listen to.
Read one, two, three, or thirty. Up to you! Just post at the start of the month which books you will read in the category, update through the month and post a link to your Goodreads review (no links to external sites).

Let's find some great audiobooks together!

How to Participate:

The Audiobook Challenge is designed to not only help you to read your audiobooks, but to also find out about other great audiobooks from other challenge participants!

Though you may pop in/out at any time, the Audiobook Challenge will run on a monthly basis so you are able to see progress being made.

There are no minimum page requirements, and you can read abridged or unabridged audiobooks!


1. At the beginning of the month, post :
a: How many audiobooks in total you want to read for the month
b: How many audiobooks in the monthly category you want to read
c: Post the audiobooks (as you decide on them) by linking them to Goodreads in your post

2. During the month, read the audiobooks that you can AND update your post with your reviews. (You can do this after each book or wait until the end of the month.)

3. At the end of the month, update your post and with:
a: What books you read
b: Link(s) to your review(s) - note: can only be linked to Goodreads and not an external site
c: How many audiobooks you have read for this challenge this year


Then start a new post for the next month!

Great story about women, culture and love set in Nigeria. I loved the characters and the setting, and the audio narrator was great with the different voices and bringing the story to life (hide spoiler)]

I enjoyed my book in category, but out of that I think the best I read this month was . It had been on my tbr forever and I think he does a great sci-fi

- Partially set in India and in the Indian ocean - Loads of fun, and having Lord Nelson as a character was cool.

Book I recommend last month,would work for this month, if anyone is looking for something good and not in a series.

The Cat Who Saved Books by Sōsuke Natsukawa
Both set primarily in Japan, and written by a Japanese author.

I finished the book I have set out to read for the Asia-theme:

Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World

Despite some misgivings b/c the author was super-biased (but at least it was a refreshing, pro-Mongol bias), I enjoyed it very, very much. Instead of taking up a lot of space here, I am linking my detailed review.

Thank you for the prompt Karen, as it was also sitting on my TBR Audible shelf for at least 3 years. 😊

I listened to three Sharpe novels set in India (and the Indian Ocean), and all three were equally fun! Rupert Farley did a great job of the narration. His Sean Bean is particularly good.
I'd read them all before in paper format, but it's been a couple of decades!

Oh I remember that TV show with Sean Bean. !

I picked up a couple more Blake crouch books the other day. I think he's probably going to end up on the "pre-order all this guy's books" list 😁
