I remember reading the first book simultaneously with somebody else, because they were staying with me and my family and it was their favourite movie at that time. I was 11 and they were 9 and I devoured the book in a few nights sitting so I wouldn't interfere with their reading time...(Ignore the fact that both of us were clearly a little bit to young ( •_•))Even though the story was incredibly catchy, I never felt the urge to read the 2. /3. book or watch the movie. I am still not sure why, but I think for me personally the story was just a little bit to "random" in a way? I couldn't quite understand Tris and think that she is a little bit irritating. Listening to your podcast I gained a new view on the story, especially with the background information regarding the author and her writing process.
+ God damn i just watched the movie trailers. There was some money invested (not just for the incredible actors)! I didn't expect the sceneries to look that good, I am low-key used to movie adaptations of YA books not being that impressive...
