Play Book Tag discussion

In the last year Kate Darling's mother has passed away and Kate is still grieving her loss. However Kate was recently given a sketch of a women that she believes is her grandmother. The drawling appears to be by a well know artist and Kate tries to meet the artist and have him help her locate her grandmother.

The more modern part of the story is about Kate and the people that help her along the way. The other part is about Alice and starts in the 1930's. The book is about family, loss, war and a love that may not lead to being together.

I enjoyed the sections relating to Kate the most. People identify traits in her that she does not see in herself and Kate takes chances along the way. The author has created a complex story where people have secrets and Kate needs to try to understand them. Lucy Foley readers will enjoy the book.
