Jumping in on this buddy read. I'm just starting Home for the Holidays, Christmas in August I guess haha. Some said it would be best to read it first before jumping into this one so why not.

I hope you enjoy it! Ashlyn and I read it in December and both really liked it.

I didn't know anything about this series going into it and it's just so darn wholesome and cute! I've loved getting to know the characters and so glad I read Home for the Holidays first.

Chapters 1-7

I'm enjoying this so far, I'm glad to be back with these characters. It's nice to see Rose and Colt getting along. There was a hint of a romance to come for them in the last book so I'm excited to see if that develops. Kind of sad that Dahlia and Ike's romance went on pause. Hopefully that picks up again. Sassy as mayor seems like it will be a lot of fun, I can't wait to watch that. I hope she's not sick and the headaches are just something else.

End of chapter 16.

(view spoiler)[I'm loving Sassy's romance she has happening! She needs some love in her life. And I'm enjoying getting Sassy's point of view in this book. I don't think we had that in the last one.

I can't wait to see more from Ike and Dahlia. I really hope they can pull it together. I feel bad for Dahlia. Trying to find the balance of protecting her kids and doing what she thinks is best for them while also trying to be happy.

Nolan comes out of nowhere! Colt needs to pull it together and Rose just needs to admit her feelings to him.

Finally, some honestly coming from their mom! I hope Lillian and Sassy are able to put some differences aside and I hope Lillian is able to share more with everyone eventually. She's so closed off. (hide spoiler)]

I don't like how Dahlia is letting Maya dictate her love life but I don't have kids so maybe I just don't understand that. I like the romance blossoming between Sassy and Graham. I'm so interested to see how that town council meeting goes after Peg found them kissing.

So much drama in this family sometimes, I swear. Maya is being an absolute brat and I really hope that stops soon. I guess it's understandable though with her being a kid. Hopefully the sisters can get Sassy and their mom to reconcile.

Wow, I'm glad Sassy ended up being ok. Her marrying Graham was very sweet. I also like how Colt proposed to Rose, that was perfect for the two of them. Also glad that Maya finally accepted Dahlia and Ike dating. Overall I liked this one, it would be nice to return to these characters again.
