We took Bastien to the local lake yesterday for the first time! He didn't love it but he didn't hate it. He just wasn't enthused. lol. It was cute. I see us going there a lot as he gets older. He'll be going to the ocean in a few weeks and that will be a LOT colder! Maine ocean! 🤣

I missed that this was happening but I'll jump in late! It's been a rainy start to summer break so I've been reading a lot anyway. :)Progress from the 28th to the 30th:
Finished the audiobook of All Systems Red, which I'd been slowly reading for a while.
Made progress on Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop, which I started a couple days earlier.
Started The Cricket War.

Bastien accompanied me to my dentist appointment yesterday and refused to listen to an audiobook, so metal music it was. 🤣 Then we met Daddy for lunch. He's such a good boy when we go out and about. Not a whole lot of napping yesterday though and last night was ROUGH. He never wakes up crying or cries in his sleep but he did several times last night.

Wasn't really jiving with Some Desperate Glory yesterday so I started Don't You Cry but was pretty bored by the beginning of it so I started the Aardvark book that was in my car when Bastien and I went to the park and he fell asleep. Needless to say I'm very intrigued by the content warnings in The Eyes Are the Best Part!

Update: I've read two of the three cozy mysteries and they were fun . . . but I think I will pass on the third.
I LOVE the cookbook! I'm learning a lot about southern Appalachian heritage as well as finding some intriguing new recipes. Not sure I will have any reading time tomorrow, but I'm counting this read-a-thon as a success for me!
