Between the Chapters Book Club discussion

Jane Austen famously said: “I’m going to take a heroine whom no one but myself will much like.” Do you find the Emma of Murder in Highbury to be likable? What characteristics do you find appealing in her? Is there anything you don’t like about Emma?

I found Austen's Emma hard to warm up to. she was clueless and had a mistaken idea of her own intellegence. But I loved Emma Knightly. The author has stayed true to most characters, but the protagonist is much more likeable.
