I already have the library book so will be joining in, but not sure exactly when I can get it started. Maybe this month, still. I am very grateful there is so much out there to read!
I started and was enjoying, then had to put it aside about halfway through, and just haven’t been compelled to go back. I seem to find that with Tey’s books, I don’t know why…
Looks like I read this in 2018. Maybe I will look for the book on my kindle (it appears that I read it on kindle) and perhaps re-read it.
I started this morning but won't read any of the other posts until I'm done with it. I'm up to chapter 8 and enjoying the story and the characters. is there not a spoiler thread, just this one?
I've started this and enjoying so far. Interesting set-up and I've always enjoyed Tey-sure I've read this before but don't remember it so far.
Have started it and enjoying it so far. Love it when books provide little details of their times like the maid explaining the WC flush system which still seems to be that chain-pulling contraption though.

The threads never close but, speaking for myself, memory of the book details fade. Hope you enjoy it.

Beneath the sea cliffs of the south coast, suicides are a sad but common fact. Yet even the hardened coastguard knows something is wrong when a beautiful young film actress is found lying dead on the beach one morning. Inspector Grant has to take a more professional attitude: death by suicide, however common, has to have a motive - just like murder...
Please do not post spoilers in this thread. Thank you.
