I LOVE this book. it will be a go to for reflection and to inspiring gifting, kindness and community, the book is beautiful, texturally appealing (textured, colourful cover and nice thick pages) and full of positive messages to inspire us to be kinder, share and be part of communities.

this is my favourite quote: "I want to live in a society where the currency of exchange is gratitude and the infinitely renewable resource of kindness, which multiples every time it is shared rather than depreciating with use"

Allison | 2126 comments I just finished The Serviceberry this morning! Agree - it's a thought-provoking book. I truly did feel it change my actions immediately. I found myself giving more (defined in all kinds of different ways) with Kimmerer's words actively ringing in my head.

I did find there were holes that need deeper exploration. But I don't think that this was the author's intention - to provide a fulsome manifesto in under 150 pages! I thought the book was a great starting point and I really enjoyed it. I do strongly believe that its message will stay active in my head for a long time - I hope it does!

@Allison - I feel like this is one that I will need to reread as a reminder to be more giving and weave kindness into all of my days
