Bojan Orlic | 3 comments I am pleased to announce that my book "Becoming smarter for life" is now available on Amazon.

The book is no nonsense material written after reading many self-help books on the topic of upgrading mindset. The largest chapter in the book "Mindset in practice" is a summary of what I have learned from these other self-help books. There is also a chapter "Mindset research" that gives a summary of research in the mindset area. In addition there are chapters with much more of my own contribution dealing with topics that are extremely important but often neglected by other authors like "removing egoism", "embracing love", "improving thinking process" and "religion and spirituality".

The time we have on this planet is fairly limited. Invest some time and effort in upgrading your mindset and you will be able to use your time on this planet in better way. My book “Becoming smarter for life” offers you exactly that.

You can download it for free from Amazon on Sunday 29.12.2024, on Sunday 05.01.2025, on Sunday 12.01.2025 and on Tuesday 11.02.2025. Note that Amazon uses Pacific Standard Time. Users of Kindle unlimited can download it for free on any day.

Bojan Orlic | 3 comments Ryan Holiday has very nice classical definition in the book "Ego is the enemy". I however define it already as looking to self and others through prism of higher and lower worth. When you have a need to judge someone's worth as a being compared to yourself for me that is already egoism. Almost everyone is indoctrinated by society in such higher lower worth view on others. I believe that we are all beings of equal worth, equal emanations of God but with different histories and different perceptions, beliefs and capabilities due to different histories. When I see you as lower or higher worth than me, for me that is already egoism.

Higher and lower worth exist only in contexts of comparison like some personal traits, skills and behaviors. When you try to pull it out of context and generalize to higher or lower worth of people as beings, you are already in egotism.

Btw. for me egotism and egoism is the same thing but just two words that focus on different aspects of it.
