While the novel is about the friendship between Siiri and Aina, they each go on their own journeys of self-discovery. What do you think Siiri learned by the end of the novel and what do you think Aina learned?

Jaclyn McHansen (jaclynkay) | 4 comments I think Siiri learned she's tougher than even she thought she was. While Aina learned she's right than she ever thought she could be. Siiri never lost her focus, really. She used each obstacle to sharpen her intentions, rather than dilute them. Aina I think learned and experienced the most. She learned that all is not as it seems, she learned about true love, loss, and resilience.

Kim (kmjessica) | 13 comments Aina learned to be strong. That she has the power to control her life. Siiri learned she has what it takes to keep her family and Aina safe.
