I love both cats and dogs but cats are simply superior.

Cats can be sort of like humans. Some are grumpy and some are really friendly

They PRETEND to. They actually just want attention and food and will save themselves and never look back if your house starts burning.

i've actually read so many stories of cats saving their owners from fires

Cats do not pretend to like you! I currently have a LOT of scratches on my shoulders because my cat likes to be held like a baby getting burped. He does not let me put him down and he constantly cuddles with me. yeah cats are better because dogs take a LOT of care and supervision

Honestly both of them have their flaws & good qualities

Cats will forever win me over. I used to love cats, then I switched back to dogs, and after I got my current cat, Amber, (and we got a new dog that I REALLY don't like) I love cats so much more. There are many reasons.

1: Cats do not make your hands stink when you pet them.
2: Cats do not breathe right in you're face with their disgusting breath or lick you constantly.
3: Cats will not beg for attention (most of the time) and shove up against you until you pet them (also most of the time)
4: Cats are just better at snuggling (also with the not stinking part)
5: They are generally low maintenance. You don't have to spend your time walking, petting, and playing with them, etc.
6: Have you SEEN TORTOISESHELLS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? They. Are. ADORABLE!!! My cat Amber is just... SHES SO PERFECT SHES A TORTOISESHELL TABBY AND SHES SO CUTE AND SHE HAS THESE HUGE AMBER EYES (hence: Amber) AND SHES ALSO A TINY LITTLE BABY EVEN THOUGH SHES ALREADY ALMOST TWO YEARS OLD AND I LOVE HER

And this is why cats are better. (in my correct opinion)

Those points only apply to MOST cats. I know there are some cats that love attention and stuff, but almost all are much less needy than dogs.

Also depends on what kind of dog you get- some dogs are also less needy

True. But the majority of dogs requires a lot more attention than the majority of cats.

Some cats have medical conditions, and so does dogs- they all have their flaws

Stop I actually love both, cats are just so grabby with their paws, but my dog ALWAYS snuggles up against me when I'm crying??

Dogs!!! They are a lot more social, and better for families because they are energetic, cuddly and are good protection to children and to your home!😁

Both I love all animals but both have pros and cons I have two dogs rn and while I love them a lot they do require more attention than cats especially since you can’t leave dogs alone as easily for as long. Both are great family animals when trained and cared for right and for those saying dogs are better for families I don’t agree. I have never been bit by a cat that was well trained and cared for but I have been by a dog more than once. I can see myself having a cat in a future before dogs not just because of that but many personal reasons and care levels required for dogs and the fact I can see my future family growing up with a cat

I have both as pets and I am allergic to cats but I have had my cat since I was like 5 years old so I couldn't get rid of her no matter how sick she makes me. That being said I would pick dogs simply because they don't make me sick. There are also other things like how loyal they are, they are more fun (for me) to play with, especially bigger dogs. I can easily take my dogs for walks anywhere I want and I would never do that with me cat. Also, sometimes I feel like dogs are humans reborn. I'm not joking like my one dog will look at me all weird and stuff and I feel like its like a relative reborn to be with me or something. One thing that is the deal breaker for me is that cats use a litter box and if you don't clean it enough or if the cat is not trained properly than that persons whole house can smell absolutely vile. Whereas a dog you can take outside and they can do their business, unless they are not potty trained, then at that point you need a trainer to fix that.

Sorry if this is hard to follow sometimes my ADHD makes me word vomit and makes things hard for other people to read.
