Love isn’t blind, it’s just a little blurry.

Sadie Montgomery never saw what was coming . . . Literally! One minute she’s celebrating the biggest achievement of her life—placing as a finalist in the North American Portrait Society competition—the next, she’s lying in a hospital bed diagnosed with a “probably temporary” condition known as face blindness. She can see, but every face she looks at is now a jumbled puzzle of disconnected features. Imagine trying to read a book upside down and in another language. This is Sadie’s new reality with every face she sees.

But, as she struggles to cope, hang on to her artistic dream, work through major family issues, and take care of her beloved dog, Peanut, she falls into—love? Lust? A temporary obsession to distract from the real problems in her life?—with not one man but two very different ones. The timing couldn’t be worse.

If only her life were a little more in focus, Sadie might be able to find her way. But perceiving anything clearly right now seems impossible. Even though there are things we can only find when we aren’t looking. And there are people who show up when we least expect them. And there are always, always other ways of seeing.

oh no, I'm sorry to hear that! I just started a day or two ago but only 50 pages in so far.

wow I've been struggling to really get into this one, I don't quite have a desire to pick it up and read. so switched to the audiobook to see if it helps

ch 1-12

this book is not my favorite by this author

(view spoiler)[ this MC oh man, I cannot connect with her. Just oblivious and sounds like an annoying child but in adult form. I was enjoying her presence at first (first few chapters) but now ugh.

also giving your dog human food?? all the time. hopefully this improves (hide spoiler)]

ch 13 - ch 25

kept forgetting to update as I listened to the audiobook

(view spoiler)[I couldn't help but fin that conversation between her and the doctor was so unrealistic? he stood her up and now he's professing his love for her smh. also "I have a thing for someone" like come on? she really needs some more girlfriends or call sue more often..

ch 26 - 29

(view spoiler)[ killed her mother?? how drastic and how could someone be as evil as parker... I don't get how everyone just thinks all that she is saying is the truth...

I wasn't expecting Hazel to be the girl that was bullied.. thank goodness that came out. sweet hearing her dad apologize. now lets see when Joe is back in the picture. (hide spoiler)]

the ending was cute, I didn't think Joe and the doctor were the same people... although overall wasn't the biggest of biggest fan of this book. I found the MC really obnoxious at times and found myself rolling my eyes at how oblivious she was. acting as if she was younger than she was. (hide spoiler)] thank goodness this wasn't my first Katherine Center book, because I LOVED her rom-commers one and this one just didn't compare
