Aaah...If everything in life and the world was perfect. Unfortunately it isn't and never will be. So what's bothering you today that you need to get off your chest?

No, you must have something like spilt pet food or something edible that's drawing the birds.

At my Walmart there are so many blue hairs, old people walking at a turtles pace, people in electric carts running into everything and everyone. If there are any birds on the parking lot it would be buzzards.

Don’t forget the exposed butt cracks and the whole family that has to go grocery shopping. Screaming and crying kids and the parents either ignoring them or yelling obscenities.

message 5: by MaryJo (new)

MaryJo Dawson | 99 comments I've experienced some of the poor dressers and unruly kids for sure, but our Walmart appears to be pretty well managed compared to what you two have put up with!
Over the years I have noticed that there are an awful lot of handicapped people who shop there.... my husband recently and legitimately - got a handicapped placard. There is rarely any space open for him to park, and there are a Lot of spaces designated for that.

Depending on the laws of particular cities I suppose this could happen. However I think public intoxication rather than DWI would be more appropriate charge.

My wife is obsessed with refrigeration. She thinks everything like mustard, catsup, steak sauce has to be in the refrigerator. You can go into any restaurant and these items are sitting on the table for days. Heck i don’t even refrigerate my beer! She is also a fanatic about expiration dates on everything. Day it expires out it goes.

message 8: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 85 comments George Jones, the country singer, used to ride his lawnmower to the liquor store and bars when his wives would hide the car keys. You can actually get a DUI if you drive on the street drunk, even on a bicycle.

Geraldine So this is where all my friends are now. I wondered whatever happened to the great debate of 2024

Why would state and local officials not want known criminal illegals removed from their communities? I don't get it.

You have to wonder what is behind the uproar over finding fraud, abuse and waste of taxpayer money. Maybe they are afraid that the money trail may lead back to them with graft and kickbacks.

MaryJo,

I hear ya on the handicap parking. I have a handicap placard and we can never find any parking. People just go out and get them when they are capable. It almost seems like it's someone who is fat and lazy that doesn't want to walk. Sorry don't mean to pick on someone who is heavy.

I'm finding that most of the time if there are long lines it's because they have one cashier on and the rest is self checkout. Sorry won't use a self checkout, if I can help it. Hire people. It's ridiculous. If you want me to do your job in the store, then give me something off my bill. I'm not paid to do your job.

I agree. I hope DOGE finds all the crooks. We've always known that politicians leave office much wealthier than when they were elected. We need an explanation for that.

Scout, a little late to the conversation, better late than never. Have to agree with you. What I have heard and seen most have earned more in one year than what we will see in our lifetime. Between myself and my parents one of us is always on the news. Want to know where all the money has gone and why?

message 26: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 85 comments It's interesting, isn't it, to find out where our taxes have been spent without our knowing about it. I think we'll find out much more before this is over, which is why Democrats are fighting so hard to stop DOGE. But I also know that Republicans have been guilty of some of the same things. I'd just like to see some accountability for where the money goes, and I hope this continues into the future. It's our money, and we're entitled to know how it's spent.

My first thought is I see a big problem with not abiding state/govt laws?? Kinda like trying to set up a country within a country? There is all sorts of levels to this I guess... like will the grocery store meet state food inspections etc..
** I'm just an old lady who knows nothing about it, just what you wrote, but it IS interesting! I'd not heard about it. Thanks for mentioning.🌷

Kellie | 172 comments BLynne wrote: "Has anyone thought about disappearing and starting a different life away from family? I've been seriously considering the idea."

I have. My sister, well I've actually started calling her my mother's other daughter, has been a real b***h. Her husband is a slime ball. I have no contact really with my mom, since she lives with them, except when she goes to the hospital. Which has been quite a bit lately. My aunts and uncle do not say anything to my mom's other daughter about her attitude and treatment of my mom (and my mom's money). Really my family is my husband and my best friends and their kids. It's sad.

Every day we hear on the news where some liberal judge imposes a block on President Trumps agendas. These blocks usually are not even in the geographical area where they even have authority. They are interfering with the policies the president ran on and the American voters supported for. What the hell can we do? The Supreme court seems to be impotent and just buries their heads in the sand. If the situation was reversed the Democratic left wing would already be threatening these judges or even worst.

Yes Ruth Charlie Kirk is an upcoming star for conservatism. He is another example of someone who had dropped out of college and used common sense to get ahead in life. Carl Rove was another example of a successful college drop out.

Geraldine A lot of losses in our family. My brother died last September. I got together a scattering of his ashes and family came. My cousin Deb was there with her 2 kids. She died last month.
