hopeless romantic society discussion

Hi! I’m a theatre kid and ex-bookworm (trying to get back into reading and journalling tho!).
I find reading plays during a slump helps me feel a sense of accomplishment since I can get through them in 1-3 hours.
Do yall have any recs or faves? (Preferably not Shakespeare lol)

“Long Day’s Journey Into Night” by Eugene O’Neill! i was really surprised i liked it; it’s easy and a quick read!

Hi, I really would like to get more into reading plays. I have only read Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Emilia Galotti and The Visit.

I would recommend The Visit to you. It is really easy to get through

the last days of judas iscariot is a good play that got me out of my reading slump!!

I liked Amadeus by Peter Shaffer! It’s a quick and entertaining read:)

Our Town by Thornton Wilder is strange, wonderful, and very moving. Have tissues ready and waiting for the end.

I really love the Crucible!!! It was SOOO good omg!

Oh! A Doll's House is one that I'm trying to read soon, so maybe you could check that out as well?!

I read Cyrano de Bergerac for school and I really enjoyed it. I also read a dolls house and can agree that it is good. I liked cyrano better though.
