I didn't like this book. It is the story of a young enslaved woman that becomes a wet nurse for the plantation owner's daughter. The very detailed descriptions of breast feeding were unnecessary, The writing wasn't creative or nuanced. The characters were likable, but predictable. I found many of the situations to be implausible. No coarse language, except for the use of the n-word. One sex scene between a married couple.
