I was forced to let my brother wear MY shirt that I got from my deceased grandpa.....I never was able to find it again and that's the last thing I got from him.....I got it after he passed....but still- it's something for me to remember him

there was a dead body found at a highschool near me and i keep getting amber alerts for missing children with unknown takers and theyre all kids my age, and every. where. i. go. theres a missing child poster, on the trees, poles, stores, etc. and idk it just worries me. like idk but my city is literally filled with missing children usually around my age. i take my bike almost everywhere so i feel like i could be taken easily by force, bc i wouldnt come voluntarily without an actual THREAT. and every kid is rlly similar is what ive been noticing but i might just be paranoid. okay im kinda exagerrating cs obvi my city isnt FULL of them, but i get like 5 amber alerts a month if u know what i mean

That's a totally valid concern, like Ray said. Maybe get some pepper spray and keep it in your pocket, and talk to your parents? Stay safe <3

TW: death

maybe a few weeks ago, an ems arrived at a house a few houses down from mine at around dusk. it was there for maybe 45 minutes, and i saw them load a stretcher into the back. the sirens were on when it left.

i was really concerned and wanted to know what had happened, so the next morning i went up to where it had parked and saw that it was right in front of a house's driveway that had a mailbox with the owner's name on it. i was worried that maybe something had happened to that person, so around a week later i googled the name on the mailbox and found a lot of pages on that person. it turns out that he was a retired physics professor at stanford, which is really amazing, and because of that there was a lot of stuff on him.

some of those things were information about his funeral and people online mourning his death. i read one of the articles and it turns out he died 3 days after i saw the ems. i was shocked, obviously, and also kind of sad, because he was my neighbor, and i never really got to know him, and now he's dead. so i'm just really sad and confused about him

I vented about my great grandma being on her deathbed.....and i got yelled at for copping an attitude......for being asked "how do you mourn somebody you don't know?" i dont think i copped attitude.....but i dont know.....i feel like sobbing....i dont know what to do anymore.....hospice is coming for my great grandma....my friend sucks rn...
