This may sound a but odd but it i do think a lot of this is down to like a) boredom b) choice as in before people were like OMG WHAT SHOULD MY NEXT MEAL BE and people didnt really sit around cooking up new label ideas you just kinda went with the flow and now its like well i have free time im going to be doing all this

People were gay before and you didnt need a whole political movmement around it is what i mean.

I wouldn't say they have absolutely no meaning - they do, they all have definitions and most have meaning to individuals, but I see what you mean

Even though there are plenty of lesbians who dint fit there and get excluded, marginialised, hated on by the "queer" community. Which is a movment so much more than just i wanna sleep with who i wanna withiut you all judging me

Exactly, as a person who lives with real ADHD, it has it's perks but it's not "cool" or anything like that. Queer people feel similarly about that I think

RIGHT?? And don't get me STARTED on people self diagnosing OH MY GOSH. But yeah, like having Autism for me has cool perks, like I am extremely passionate about my interests, and I know A LOT about them. But I also have trouble doing anything that doesn't INVOLVE my interests lol. Same with being queer, like don't get me wrong I love being transgender and bisexual. I feel complete knowing this part of myself, but it also has SO many negative consequences to my identity, something I can't even control

i think labels can make a person feel comfortable, but i don't like the fact that everything is in some sort of a box. maybe some people like it, but i think in an ideal society, you wouldn't care about what the details of someone's sexuality are. i just wish people would forget labels and just fall in love with who they want to, dress and act like they prefer, and not obsess over what it should be called. the only time when i think this would be reasonable is when you're trying to introduce yourself to somebody and want them to be familiar with how to treat you and such

i sometimes use the wrong labels, and i apologize but then they start getting mad at me. their pronouns are they/rainbow/gecko or something and im not sure how to address them using 'rainbow' im js confused bc i want to be respectful but i genuinely do not know HOW to 😭

also hate when i came out as bi to my friends (who r also bi) and they said 'u better not be doing it for the aesthetic. and you have to commit to it' like i told them i THINK i like girls but i wasnt sure, which is bi-questioning. dont make me feel bad abt liking girls (im almost 100 percent sure i do now )

Yeah I understand that 😭 also no offense to them but how are rainbow and gecko pronouns? They're nouns, a different part of English... And isn't that why neopronouns exist?

NO I FEEL YA. Like I get pronouns like xe/xem and what not, I UNDERSTAND that. But when it's straight up like objects or animals, I don't get it 😭 Like I'll try my best to respect it, but oh my gosh 😭 Neopronouns lowk confuse me. theres a website called 'pronouns page' and when ppl link it to their acc it helps SO MUCH. like with what nicknames ur comfy with, terms of endearment, pronouns, sexuality, etc, etc, etc!
