Averi Stomberg | 15 comments Basically looking for stuff similar to not only Percy Jackson, but also more YA and adult. Lore and Song of Achilles are already on my TBR, just looking for more books that include mythical tones, especially Greek.

Len | 145 comments The Land Beyond the North. The story of Jason and the Argonauts adapted and expanded somewhat to bring in Stonehenge at the end.

The Kingdom of the Bulls. Brings in the story of King Minos and the Minotaur.

Pony Xaviors (ponyxaviors) | 394 comments If you're interested in Roman mythology at all, there's Mark of the Thief by Jennifer A. Nielsen. It has a similar feel to Percy Jackson.

Women of Troy, by Pat Barker; starting with The Silence of the Girls.

The Firebrand, by Marion Zimmer Bradley retells the story of Cassandra.

Clytemnestra, by Costanza Casati.

Heracles trilogy, by Glyn Iliffe; starting with Son of Zeus.

Songs of Penelope, by Claire North; comprising Ithaca, House of Odysseus, and, The Last Song of Penelope.

The Bull from the Sea and The King Must Die, by Mary Renault retell the story of Theseus.

Taking inspiration from greek mythology but not actually retelling, The Queen's thief, by Megan Whalen Turner, starting with The Thief.

Marsha (queenboadicea) | 95 comments Ariadne by Jennifer Saint, Circe by Madeline Miller and Persephone by Allison Shaw.

The latter is a graphic novel but it's one that I truly enjoyed and turns quite a bit of the original story on its head. Persephone is a virginal goddess with lustiness and the eagerness for love in her heart. Hermes is a gullible idiot. Zeus is a kindly father who approves of Hades's potential coupling with his daughter/niece. Hades is a ruggedly handsome bloke who is determined to keep Persephone at arm's length because he respects her too much to subject her to the darkness of his realm.

beichst | 172 comments Perhaps some of the novels by Molly Cochran and Warren Murphylike the Forever King trilogy.

The Forever King

According to one quote by Robert Jordan
"a fresh and exciting view of the Arthur legend.”

She also co-wrote World Without End which is a modern retelling of the Atlantis myth.

Wil | 29 comments I haven't read it, but my Greek Epic professor from a while back would not stop raving about it 😂

The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood

From what I remember, it's a novella that reimagines the Iliad/Odyssey from Penelope's perspective and highlights her life back on Ithaca in Odysseus's absence and her resilience and intelligence she uses to face her struggles :)
