I read King of Ashes as an audiobook earlier this month. It was so so good! The author uses the same narrator and he truly adds to the story, he's so good

Trisha | 1984 comments I had a few of these as arcs, so I was already able to enjoy a few this month because I'd already read them (or am planning to read them in just a day or 2)

So I got:
The Summer We Ran by Audrey Ingram What Kind of Paradise by Janelle Brown Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab A Family Matter by Claire Lynch The Other Side of Now by Paige Harbison The River Is Waiting by Wally Lamb

I'm actually really excited for V.E. Schwab's new one and What Kind Of Paradise! It wasn't even on my radar until I saw them talking about it for BOTM and now I'm REALLY excited to read it!

message 9: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 516 comments Trisha and anyone else...have you read Wally Lamb books before? I tried to read The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb YEARS ago and I just couldn't!!! It was a DNF for me. I have never wanted to try his books again. I don't know if it was just me at that time, that specific book, or the author for me wasn't my cup of tea. Any feedback?

message 10: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 516 comments Pretty sure I'll order these:

The Ghostwriter by Julie Clark Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab The Summer We Ran by Audrey Ingram King of Ashes by S.A. Cosby What Kind of Paradise by Janelle Brown

I've read I Know This Much Is True but it was absolutely years ago! I ordered his new one, I'll keep you posted on how it is (when i shift back to working on my BOTM backlog! lol)

message 12: by Elsa (new)

Elsa Carrion (ecarrion) | 716 comments Vicki did you try reading the sample?

I just read it and it reads pretty fast. It's his POV on that one small section.

I don't think I've read any of his books, this will be my first. If I order it.

Do you mean IF? lol I think I'll bypass his book and get it from my library.

Elsa, no, I didn't do that but I'm going to now. Thanks for the suggestion.

I usually don't but I guess I should've in the case of his books. I think what I'll do is borrow that one from the library and give him another chance. lol

Looks so good. I don't know if I'll buy it from BOTM or e-book on Amazon since they're the same price but either way I'll get it for sure. I guess it depends on which books they have in July.
