Didn’t get very far before I got too tired and went to sleep. But the opening was interesting and I’m curious to see what happens to that ferryman. I’m not thinking good things
Well this starts with a very Salem witch trials kind of vibe. Interesting. Five little girls dressed in mourning black. Nothing creepy about that. I assume that they will be blamed for everything bad in the area. Already, the river is too low, they need rain, plus a lot more I'm sure.I wonder if they are just shy an sheltered, and told to not talk to people, or are they supernatural in some way? I don't get that vibe yet from the story, but I am only 20 pages in.
So far for names, we have-
Anne, Mary, Grace, Hester, Elizabeth Mansfield, Pete Darling, James, Temperance, Bullock and Robin. No O yet.
I paged through the book, and other names mimic the starting letters, with a few new ones.Connie, Shirley, Walter, John Friend.
Not what you were hoping for.
Okay, that's fine. It's more options than just T from the title.People popped in to cover the Os so good there as long as people finish what they sign up for!
Thank you my friend :)
There definitely seems to be some woo-woo with the sisters. I'm not sure what the deal is with the sturgeon. The ferry dude is definitely a jerk and I kind of hope he gets eaten by a giant catfish in the river.
